Frequently asked questions
What is a word finder?
A word finder is a tool that takes the letters you have and lists every valid word you can spell with them. This one works for Scrabble, Words With Friends, Wordle, anagrams and crosswords, and ranks results by points so you can find your best play fast.
Is this word finder free?
Yes - completely free, with no sign-up. It runs in your browser and returns results instantly.
Which dictionary does it use?
It uses the public-domain ENABLE tournament word list (the basis of most English word-game dictionaries), covering 2 to 15-letter words. Scores are shown for both Scrabble and Words With Friends tile values.
How do I find words with a blank tile?
Type ? (or *) for each blank/wildcard tile in your rack. The finder treats it as any letter and still tells you the score of every word you can build.
Can it solve Wordle and crosswords?
Yes. Use the Wordle solver for green/yellow/grey clues and the crossword solver to fill a pattern with known letters and blanks.
